Maximize your battery life
Suunto 7 is full of features for your everyday life and sports. The features and apps you use and the way you use them all affect how long your battery will last.
All-day battery life
For long days you just don't want to end, Suunto 7 provides up to 18 hours of versatile device use and up to 4 hours of outdoor workout.*
Workout
The Suunto 7 is ideal for all sorts of exercise, but battery use varies depending on your chosen sport. With an outdoor workout using the GPS, the Suunto 7 can last for up to 12 hours, whereas if you're training indoors it can keep going for up to 30 hours.*
Music during a workout
Is music your motivation to push further? If you listen to music when training outside and you're also using the GPS, we calculate that the Suunto 7 can keep going for up to 8 hours if you're using it to control music that's playing on your phone, or up to 3 hours if you’re playing music from your watch.*
Maps during a workout
The Suunto 7 can keep going for up to 7 hours during outdoor training with GPS and maps, assuming the watch map is on for 10 seconds once every 3 minutes.* Following a new route? Route navigation itself does not consume any additional power but viewing the map more often will shorten the battery life.
Battery-saving GPS mode
By selecting "Good" location accuracy, your Suunto 7 consumes less power by acquiring location only every 10 seconds. When running or cycling, FusedTrack™ is used to improve tracking quality.
Watch face only
Taking time off and just want to use the Suunto 7 as a stylish watch for a while? If you're not using any additional features the battery may last for up to 40 days (in Battery Saver mode).*
Charging times
When it is time to charge your Suunto 7 it doesn't take long. In 20 mins you can charge enough for two hours of sports training, with the battery completely full in just 100 minutes. Charge time varies with environmental factors; actual results will vary.
*The estimated figures are valid only when using Suunto Wear app. Actual battery life may vary considerably depending on sports, settings, applications, and many other factors e.g. if you're measuring sleep.
**All testing was carried out by Suunto in December 2019 using pre-production Suunto 7 devices with pre-release software.
